Numerical Study of Deep Drawability Using Johnson-Cook Model

In the Deep-drawing process, a blank is drawn into hollow element taking shape of die by operation punch. This process has numerous advantages and applications in automobile, aerospace, kitchenware, packaging industries. The primary purpose this study to design simulate deep drawing LS-Dyna PrePost(R) V4.6.17 using Johnson-Cook flow stress as material model. An appropriate judicious characterization that accounts for combined effect strain, strain rate, well temperature essential predict behavior close real scenario. Uniaxial tensile tests are performed on UTM machine obtain stress-strain readings at four different rates also temperatures environmental chamber UTM. These were utilized find constants such A, B, C, n, M which used MAT-015 card LS-Dyna. To conclude, limiting draw ratio model calculated came out be around 1.971.
